Details: The Ace Hardware Corporation is on the search for HUNTERS! No, not that type of hunter. We are looking for competitive, achievement-oriented individuals who can hunt for prospective investors and store owners and help ACE continue its track record of opening >150 new domestic stores a year. This is an exciting opportunity to become involved with the most well known and fastest-growing brand in the home improvement industry. As a Franchise Development Manager (FDM), you will manage the business development process for the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. You will work to build a pipeline of potential new investors and store owners to increase Ace's market share via new store growth.Key responsibilities include: Recruit, educate, and motivate potential candidates. This includes sales, the development and execution of business plans, pursuit of new investors, acquisition candidates, as well as branching-out opportunities. The FDM has front-line accountability on determining prospect viability, character, competence, and financial wherewithal, and finalizing and/or closing on the opportunity. Execute the technical operating procedures from Interest-to-Application. This includes everything from demographic work, trade potential, sales forecasting, assisting with securing financing, and completion of the Ace membership application following the Ace Standard Operating Procedures. “Develop the market." This position is required to pursue every opportunity in a market as it relates to potential candidates (new investors, existing Ace retailers, conversion prospects or acquisitions), open markets, real estate site possibilities, lender relationships, broker relationships and public relations. The FDM is the lead on creating momentum in a market through the combination of their market diligence and their Ace advocacy with these various stakeholders.
